Opened in 2008, this expansive 105,000-square-foot indoor venue is built on the campus of the University of Manitoba. Known for being one of the largest clear-span buildings in North America, its infrastructure is designed to accommodate various sports and activities, catering to both professional teams and recreational players alike.
The WSF Soccer South boasts a simulated grass turf field measuring 210 feet by 330 feet, offering a real grass experience that minimizes injuries and maximizes comfort. Dividable into full, half, or quarter formations using electronic curtains, it’s ideal for different game types, including 8v8 pickup soccer. Your game can be organized onto this top-quality field, providing the ultimate playground for your preferred sport.
In addition, the facility offers 12 spacious dressing rooms with team lockers, ensuring your gear is safe and secure. For officials, there are two dedicated referee rooms equipped with showers and lockers. The facility also includes a first aid room to handle any minor injuries on-site.
For spectators, an upper concourse area offers a bird's eye view of the field, making it easy to cheer on your favorite teams. Complementing the game-day experience are amenities such as a canteen and the fully licensed Kicker’s Lounge for refreshments. The facility also includes a large meeting room available for rental, suitable for various functions.
Attendees will appreciate the ample parking offerings. Lots located directly in front of the facility are operated by the University of Manitoba and offer free parking after 4:30 PM on weekdays and all day on weekends.
